MORTAL ENGINES

SYNOPSIS

Many centuries after the earth’s crust is fractured during the Sixty Minute War, gigantic moving cities now roam the lands, ruthlessly preying on smaller mobile towns. In this "town eat town” society, rebuilt on a philosophy called Municipal Darwinism, young historian Tom Natsworthy from the traction city of London, is soon fighting for his own survival after an encounter with the deadly fugitive Hester Shaw. They form an unlikely alliance against forces that will change their lives forever.
